Our accounting services in Ireland give Irish limited companies an outsourced accounting and bookkeeping team for the full annual cycle: bookkeeping, VAT returns, annual financial statements, the B1 annual return to the CRO and the Corporation Tax return, filed on time and approved by you before anything is submitted.
What our accounting service includes
- Bookkeeping: we record and categorise every sale, purchase, payment and receipt, and reconcile your accounts with the bank every month
- Cloud accounting software (Xero or QuickBooks), set up for your company, with full access for you
- VAT returns (VAT3), the annual Return of Trading Details and VIES returns where your company trades in the EU
- Annual financial statements, in abridged form where your company qualifies, with the audit exemption claim where it applies
- The B1 annual return with financial statements, filed with the Companies Registration Office (CRO)
- The Corporation Tax return (CT1) with Form 46G, and the financial statements in iXBRL
- Directors’ income tax returns (Form 11), if you need them
- Payroll for directors and employees, if you need it
- Monthly or quarterly management accounts, if you need them
- A deadline calendar for your company and reminders before each date
- Help with Revenue and CRO queries on the returns we filed
You see every return before it is filed and approve it first.
What you provide
- Access to your business bank account statements, or a bank feed into the accounting software
- Your sales invoices and purchase receipts, uploaded as they arise
- Payroll details if we run payroll for you
- Proof of ID and address of the directors, as required by Anti-Money Laundering (AML) rules
Deadlines we track for you
- VAT3 returns, usually every two months, filed and paid on ROS by the 23rd of the month after the period
- The B1 annual return, filed within 56 days of your company’s annual return date
- The CT1 and Form 46G, filed nine months after the end of the accounting period, by the 23rd of the ninth month on ROS
- Preliminary Corporation Tax, paid before the end of the accounting period
Late filing costs money: Revenue adds surcharges to late tax returns, and a late B1 brings CRO late filing fees and loss of the audit exemption. We plan the year so that does not happen.
How it works
- You contact us, we agree the scope and send an invoice and a service contract.
- We set up the accounting software and connect your bank.
- You upload invoices and receipts; we keep the books and reconcile every month.
- Before each deadline we prepare the return and send it to you for approval.
- We file with Revenue or the CRO and send you the confirmation.
Outsourced accounting services for small Irish companies
If you want to outsource your accounting, we handle bookkeeping, VAT, CRO and Revenue filings so you do not need an in-house accountant. Cloud accounting software gives you full access to your figures at any time, and we reconcile your accounts each month. This suits start-ups and small businesses as well as companies with non-resident directors who run operations from abroad.
Who this service is for
Irish limited companies that want one provider for bookkeeping, tax returns and CRO filings, including companies with non-resident directors who run their business from abroad and newly formed companies setting up their accounts for the first time.
Not included
- Statutory audit. If your company needs an audit, we tell you early and help you prepare.
Frequently asked questions
Can you take over the books from my current accountant?
Yes. We collect the previous returns and the closing balances, and continue from there.
Do I need accounting software?
We set up Xero or QuickBooks for your company, so you can see your figures at any time. If you already use one of them, we work in your existing file.
How long must my company keep its records?
Revenue requires business records to be kept for six years. Your records stay in the accounting software and in your own files.
Can you file if my company did not trade this year?
Yes. A dormant or non-trading company still files its returns. We prepare and file them.
Do you work with companies whose directors live outside Ireland?
Yes. Everything runs online, and we act as your tax agent with Revenue.
Please note: we are required to collect and verify proof of ID and address under Anti-Money Laundering (AML) rules. We keep all client data secure and confidential.
